Size It Up - Geography is a daily visual size-estimation game by Magnitudle. Each round presents a silhouette of a country, state, lake, city, or natural wonder and asks you to resize it so its scale matches a known reference object. A single daily game contains five comparisons, and each comparison is worth up to 100 points, meaning the best possible total is 500. The closer your size estimate is to the true scale, the more points you earn for that round. The geography edition is part of the original Size It Up series, and a Pop Culture variant is also available. The game is free to play on the web.

How to play

Start each round with a silhouette and a known reference object in view. Resize the silhouette until its scale lines up with the true size of the place or wonder shown. A daily game always has five comparisons, and every round is scored out of 100 points. Finish all five comparisons to complete the game and see your total out of 500. The places included draw from geography categories such as countries, states, lakes, cities, and natural wonders, and each shape comes with provenance records and credited sources.

Tips

1. Use a familiar geography fact as an anchor; if you know roughly how big a lake or state is, start from that mental yardstick before fine-tuning the silhouette.
2. Because closer estimates earn more points, give each silhouette a steady look and make your best judgment rather than hurrying through the five rounds.
3. Remember that every round is capped at 100 points, so even a difficult comparison only costs you a fraction of the 500-point maximum.
