What HexHunt is

HexHunt is a daily geography puzzle that tests both your knowledge of world locations and your ability to pinpoint them on a map. Each day, you are presented with seven locations. Your task is to select the hex cell on the world map where you believe each location is situated. The map is overlaid with a hexagonal grid, and you can zoom in to view smaller hexes, which offer the potential for higher scores. Zooming out gives you a broader view for easier navigation. Your accuracy and precision determine your points, making careful consideration of each guess important. With a fresh set of locations every day, HexHunt offers a quick, focused challenge for geography enthusiasts.

How to play

To play, start by looking at the first of the seven daily locations. You will need to choose a hex cell on the world map that you think matches that location. You can zoom in to see finer-grained hexes; selecting a smaller hex can earn you more points if your guess is correct. Conversely, zooming out helps you orient yourself and navigate to the general area. After you have decided on a hex cell, submit your guess for that location. Repeat this process for all seven locations. The scoring rewards both accuracy and the precision of your zoom level, so think about how confident you are before committing to a guess.
