Privacy

This page explains what happens to data when you browse Puzzlerzone, sign in, submit a puzzle or choose to load a game supplied by another provider.

Information you choose to provide

If you sign in, our authentication provider processes your email address so we can send a sign-in link and associate favourites, play history and submissions with your account. A puzzle submission can include the puzzle name, URL, description, reply address and selected listing plan. Stripe processes card details for paid plans; Puzzlerzone receives payment and transaction status, not your full card number.

Site analytics

Puzzlerzone uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity after your first interaction with the site, or after a delayed load. These services can receive page, device, approximate-location and interaction data and may use cookies or similar browser storage. We also record coarse, anonymous player events such as choosing Load game, an iframe loading or failing, active-play milestones and choosing another puzzle. These events use a random browser-session identifier rather than your email address. We use this information to understand which pages work and to diagnose usability problems.

Embedded games

A third-party game is not loaded when its Puzzlerzone page first opens. If you choose Load game, your browser connects directly to the named provider. The provider can then receive your IP address and browser information and load its game, advertising, analytics, cookies or local storage under its own policies. HTMLGames says its embeds use functional storage for game progress and anonymized analytics, while advertising may require additional consent in applicable regions. You can avoid that connection by not loading the game and using the rest of the directory normally.

External links and public listings

Game pages link to third-party websites. Those sites control their own data practices. Published puzzle names, descriptions, classifications and source links are public directory information. A reply email supplied with a submission is kept for editorial communication and is not displayed on the public listing.

Retention and your choices

We keep account and submission records while they are needed to run the directory, fulfil paid services, prevent abuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. You may ask us to correct or delete eligible personal data through the contact page. Some records may need to be retained where required for security, payment reconciliation or law.
