What WordReels is
WordReels is a daily word puzzle with a spatial twist. A set of letter reels sits in front of a center selection line, and your job is to spin those reels until the letters along that line form the secret 5-letter word. You have six attempts per daily challenge, and after each guess the game marks every letter with green, yellow, or gray feedback so you can refine your next spin. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone, a fresh one starts at 00:00 UTC, and your progress is saved automatically in browser local storage. Beyond the daily challenge, WordReels offers Practice Mode, a Custom Reel builder, an archive of past puzzles, streak tracking, coins and hints, bonus words, and leaderboards for streaks, points, and bonuses.
How to play
The center selection line is your target. Spin each reel until the letter you want rests on that line, then choose Check Word to submit your guess. After every attempt you receive per-letter feedback: green means correct placement, yellow means the letter appears elsewhere in the word, and gray means it is not in the word. You have 6 attempts in the Daily Challenge. Keep an eye on bonus words—they add 50 points and 5 coins but consume one of your attempts. At the end of the puzzle, each unused attempt is worth 60 bonus points. If you need help, you can use Peek to preview letters on a focused reel, Hide letters to change what is shown, Shuffle to rearrange the reels, or spend coins on Hints. In Practice Mode you get endless 4-, 5-, or 6-letter puzzles with scaled attempts. You can also create a Custom Reel, share it, or load a shared reel via a link or code.
Tips
- Plan your bonus-word hunting carefully: each bonus answer scores 50 points and 5 coins, but it uses one of your six attempts, so don't chase one if it will cost you a chance at the main word.
- Each unused attempt is worth 60 bonus points, so finishing in fewer tries is rewarded as well as being a strong result.
- Use Practice Mode to try endless 4-, 5-, and 6-letter puzzles with scaled attempts; it's a safe way to explore the game without spending a Daily Challenge.
- Preview letters with Peek before committing, use Hide letters to change what is visible, and Shuffle to rearrange the reels.
