Overview

What Weightle is

Weightle is a daily browser game about real-world mass intuition. Each puzzle presents a target object such as a refrigerator or pickup truck and asks you to estimate how many units of a much smaller counter-item, like coffee mugs or playing cards, would be needed on a two-pan mechanical scale to balance it. The goal is not an exact count but a sensible order-of-magnitude guess. Daily mode runs through three progressively larger rounds: Everyday Baseline, Cross-Domain Mass, and Extreme Macro Disparity. Logarithmic scoring keeps multi-ton estimates fair, and Endless Mode adds randomized pairings for players who want to keep going. No signup is required for daily play.

Getting started

How to play

The core task is to think about the target object's mass in familiar terms, then estimate how many units of the named counter-item would match it on the two-pan scale. You enter a numerical estimate and submit it, and the game checks the order-of-magnitude accuracy of your guess against the target. Daily mode gives you three rounds: Everyday Baseline, Cross-Domain Mass, and Extreme Macro Disparity. A new global puzzle is generated at 00:00 UTC. If you want more chances to practice, Endless Mode offers randomized pairings and repeated attempts without waiting for the next daily set. The interactive animated scale experience runs in the browser, and JavaScript is required.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Treat each puzzle as a Fermi estimate: think of the target in a familiar mass unit, then compare it with the rough mass of one counter-item to find a reasonable scale.
  2. Remember that scoring uses logarithmic evaluation, so being in the right order of magnitude matters much more than getting an exact unit count.
  3. Use the three round names as a guide: move from common household objects, to cross-domain comparisons, and finally to extreme macro disparities.
  4. Endless Mode is a good way to practice because it provides randomized pairings and lets you attempt as many estimates as you want.
Quick answers

Common questions

Do I need an account to play Weightle?

No. Daily play requires no signup, so you can start estimating as soon as you open the game. Endless Mode is also part of the free browser experience.

How is my guess scored?

Answers are scored using logarithmic evaluation, which measures order-of-magnitude accuracy rather than raw nearness. This keeps small counter-items and multi-ton targets on a fair, consistent scale.

What does daily mode include?

Daily mode consists of three progressive rounds: Everyday Baseline, Cross-Domain Mass, and Extreme Macro Disparity. A new global balance puzzle is generated each day at 00:00 UTC.

Can I keep playing after the daily puzzle?

Yes. Endless Mode provides randomized pairings and repeated attempts, so you can continue estimating beyond the three daily rounds without waiting for the next day's puzzle.
