What Unicorner is
Whether you are at home or on the go, Unicorner is a web-based daily football trivia game that asks you to name players, clubs, countries, managers, and stadiums. Five fresh questions appear every day, and each prompt has a 25-second timer, so you need to think fast. The scoring system flips normal trivia on its head: a common, obvious correct answer will only give you a few points, while a valid but rarely chosen answer is worth more. If you manage to supply one of the rarest valid answers, you earn a special Screamer designation. The game is free to play and requires no download or account, so you can open the daily quiz directly in your browser. Unicorner is in beta, with an announced Infinity mode planned to bring infinite questions, category packs, an archive, and stats.
How to play
To play, open the daily quiz and read each of the five football prompts. For each one, you must provide a valid player, club, country, manager, or stadium. You have 25 seconds to decide on your answer, so try to recall a legitimate but less obvious name rather than the most famous one. Once the five questions are done, the scoring rewards rare correct answers with more points, and the rarest are marked as Screamers. If you think a correct answer was rejected, use the built-in feedback form to report it. You can also send in your own question ideas, and after the quiz you can challenge a friend to beat your score.
Tips
- Name a valid but lesser-known player or club instead of the biggest star to score more points.
- Remember that obscure countries, managers, and stadiums also count as long as they are valid for the prompt.
- If a correct answer is rejected, use the built-in feedback form so the issue can be reviewed.
- Submit original question prompts through the community feature for a chance to see them appear in the game.
Common questions
How many questions are in each daily quiz?
Unicorner releases five new questions every day. Each question has a 25-second time limit, and the full daily quiz is free to play on the web with no download or sign-up required.
What makes an answer a Screamer?
A Screamer is the designation given to the rarest valid answers for a prompt. Popular correct answers score only a few points, while uncommon valid answers score more, and the very rarest accepted answers earn the Screamer label.
Does Unicorner require an account?
No. The daily trivia game is completely free to play and accessible directly on the web. There is no download and no sign-up needed to start answering questions.
What is Infinity mode?
The game is currently in beta, and an Infinity mode has been announced that will include infinite questions, category packs, an archive, and stats. This will expand beyond the standard five daily questions.
