Overview

What Trordle is

Trordle is a word puzzle that asks you to find three hidden five-letter words simultaneously. You get eight guesses total, and each guess you submit applies to all three words at the same time. After every guess, you receive color feedback for each of the three grids, showing which letters are correct and in the right position. Your job is to use that feedback to narrow down all three words before you run out of guesses.

Getting started

How to play

You type a five-letter guess using the on-screen keyboard and submit it. The guess must be a valid word. Once submitted, you see color feedback for each of the three words, letting you know which letters are correct and where they belong. You can also copy your results to the clipboard or generate an image to share your progress.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Since every guess applies to all three words, choose a starting word with common vowels and consonants that can give useful feedback across all three grids at once.
  2. Pay attention to which letters are marked as correct in one grid but absent in another. That tells you the same letter appears in different positions or not at all, helping you eliminate possibilities faster.
Quick answers

Common questions

Is there a limit to how many puzzles I can play?

Trordle has two modes. Daily mode gives you one puzzle per day. Free mode lets you play as many times as you like, with no signup required.

How does Trordle compare to other word games?

Trordle is based on Dordle and Wordle, but it raises the challenge by giving you three words to solve at once with only eight guesses. It is available on Alldle alongside many other word games.
