What Popdle is

Popdle is a daily word puzzle built around a featured artist. Each day, a single musician or band becomes the subject of the challenge, and your task is to guess the titles of that artist's songs. Before you start, you receive hints that point to specific records: the album the song appears on, the year it was released, and any guest features or other identifying details. You have exactly 10 attempts to work through the clues and name the correct tracks. The puzzle presents a new artist every day, offering a fresh set of clues each time. After you finish your run, you can share your result with others. The game runs in your web browser at no cost, and each session is designed to be a compact activity you can complete in about five minutes. It tests both your music knowledge and your ability to connect scattered details into a complete song title.

How to play

Each day you are presented with an artist as the central figure of the puzzle. Clues appear for individual songs, including the album name, the release year, and any featured performers or extra information. Use these clues to form the title of the song you believe is correct. You may enter up to 10 guesses per puzzle. Work systematically: start with the album clue to narrow down the era, then use the year to confirm the likely record, and finally consider features to distinguish between similar tracks. If you reach 10 guesses without finding the right title, the puzzle ends. At that point you can see your result and share it as a summary of your attempt.

Tips

1. Start with the album clue and guess a song you strongly associate with that record, since the album name often narrows the field to one or two likely titles.
2. If multiple songs from the same year seem possible, focus on the feature clue; a guest vocalist or collaborator usually makes one specific track stand out.
3. Use the year and album together to rule out alternate versions or re-recordings of the same title, which can otherwise lead you astray.
