Overview

What Lineup is

Lineup is a daily deduction game that asks you to arrange five items from a given category into the correct order. The order could be slowest to fastest, smallest to largest, or any other logical sequence. You have five guesses to get it right, and each guess gives you color feedback that tells you how close each item is to its proper position. The same puzzle is released for everyone worldwide each day, so you can compare your approach with friends. The game is designed to be played in about two minutes, making it a quick mental warm-up. It includes a colorblind-friendly blue/orange feedback option, a high-contrast setting, statistics tracking for played games, win percentage, streaks, and an achievements system. After solving, you can share your result as an emoji score grid.

Getting started

How to play

Your goal is to put the five items in the correct order. You can reorder the cards by dragging them or by using the up and down arrows to move items. When you think you have the right sequence, lock in your guess with the Guess button. After each guess, the game shows color feedback for each item: one color means the item is in the correct spot, another means it is one position off, and a third means it is two or more positions off. Use this information to refine your next guess. You have five guesses per puzzle, so plan carefully. If you prefer, you can switch to a colorblind-friendly blue/orange feedback mode or enable high-contrast colors in the settings. Your statistics and achievements are tracked automatically as you play.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Pay close attention to the color feedback after each guess; it tells you exactly which items are correctly placed and which are close.
  2. Since you only have five guesses, avoid random shuffling—use the feedback to logically deduce the correct order step by step.
  3. Take advantage of the colorblind-friendly and high-contrast settings if the standard colors are hard to distinguish.
  4. Check your statistics regularly to see your win rate and streak, which can help you gauge your improvement over time.
Quick answers

Common questions

How many guesses do I get per puzzle?

You get exactly five guesses for each daily puzzle. The color feedback after each guess helps you narrow down the correct order, so use your guesses wisely.

What does the color feedback mean?

The feedback indicates whether an item is in the correct spot, one position off, or two or more positions off. The exact colors depend on your chosen mode, but the meaning is consistent: it tells you how close each item is to its proper place.

Is the puzzle the same for everyone?

Yes, every player around the world receives the same puzzle each day. This makes it easy to compare results and discuss strategies with others who play the same daily challenge.
