What Gossipdle is

Gossipdle is a daily web logic game inspired by Einstein-style grid puzzles. Each puzzle places 20 characters in a 5x5 grid, and every solution follows strict logical rules. You begin with one revealed clue and tap characters to mark them as innocent or guilty. When you correctly identify a character, their hidden clue is revealed, starting a chain of deductions that can lead to the next clue. The game prevents choices that are not logically justified, so you cannot mark a character unless the current clues support that conclusion. There is always a logical next move available, which means solving can continue through reasoning alone. The daily theme is randomly selected from a larger pool, with options such as office gossip, college admissions, psychics, and horse racing. Gossipdle uses gossip-themed storytelling to frame the deduction. You can track your time, hints used, and mistakes, and share an in-progress scenario or final result grid with friends. Difficulty changes by day: Monday and Tuesday are easier, Wednesday through Friday are medium, and Saturday and Sunday are harder. A weekly meta-puzzle, Catch the Mastermind, is also available.

How to play

Open the day's puzzle and start with the one clue that is already revealed. Use that clue to decide which characters can be marked innocent or guilty. Tap a character to mark them. If your marking is correct, that character's hidden clue appears immediately, adding new information to the grid. Repeat the cycle of reading, deducing, and marking until every character is identified. Because the game only allows choices that are logically justified, you can trust that each correct mark follows from the clues. If progress stalls, rely on the guarantee that a logical next move always exists and re-examine the revealed clues. Watch the counters for time, hints used, and mistakes while you solve, and share the final result grid or an in-progress scenario with friends.

Tips

1. Use the first revealed clue to find a character whose guilt or innocence is settled; a correct mark unlocks that character's hidden clue.
2. When stuck, remember that a logical next move always exists; search the current revealed clues for a hidden deduction you have not used yet.
3. Check your time, hint count, and mistake count as you work so you can see whether your reasoning is slowing down or becoming less precise.
4. Keep the random daily theme in mind, from office gossip to horse racing, to help interpret the relationships between characters.
