What GnarlyQ is

GnarlyQ is a daily general-knowledge trivia puzzle that challenges you to find the five correct answers hidden among ten options in each of five rounds. The same puzzle is presented to every player on a given day, so you are solving alongside the whole community. A wrong selection ends the round immediately, so you must balance confidence with caution. When you have chosen answers you trust, you can lock them in to preserve the points you have earned. The whole experience takes about three minutes, making it a quick mental workout. The game is free to play in your web browser and requires JavaScript to run.

How to play

Each day, you play five rounds of trivia. In a round, you see ten answer options, but only five of them are correct. Your job is to identify those five correct answers. Tap an option to select it. If you tap a wrong option, the round ends, so you lose the chance to earn more points from that round. To protect the points you have already collected, use the lock-in feature after you have selected your answers. Locking in preserves your earned points and moves you forward. After completing all five rounds, your day's puzzle is done. Since the same puzzle is given to all players, you can compare your results with others.

Tips

1. Because a wrong tap ends the round, lock in your selections as soon as you are reasonably confident rather than risking extra guesses.
2. Remember that each round has exactly five correct answers among ten options, so use that count to check whether your selections are plausible.
3. Since the same puzzle is shared daily, discussing answers with friends after you finish can reveal different reasoning paths.
