What Glimpse is
Glimpse is a daily visual memory challenge built from five different mini-memories. Each round offers exactly one glimpse—flashed cells on a grid, a dot's position, a sequence of lit tiles, a number, or one specified shape among two—and then asks you to reproduce what you saw. Every round is scored from 0 to 100, and the day's result is the average of the five. The same seeded gauntlet is served to all players on that date, no account is required, and progress lives in your browser. Because each task taxes a different kind of recall, a strong day means balancing spatial memory, sequence memory, and digit memory in about a minute.
How to play
Begin with the daily gauntlet to face five quick rounds in a fixed order: CELLS, SPOT, ORDER, DIGITS, WHICH. Each round gives one glimpse before you answer. Mark the flashed cells on the blank grid and confirm with LOCK IN, place the dot in its exact spot, select lit tiles in the same order they flashed, enter the flashed number on the pad, and after two shapes flash, choose the specified one. Use UNDO or ⌫ to correct an answer, or lock in a partial answer rather than leaving it empty—unfilled digits score zero. Practice mode mixes all five skills or drills a single skill on a 12-level difficulty ladder.
Tips
- If a round blanks you, lock in a partial answer. Partial credit is awarded for close answers, and leaving digits empty scores zero.
- Use Practice mode to drill one skill: a single-skill session climbs the 12-level ladder on green and drops on red, so you can target your weakest round.
- Your daily result is an average, so a spent round does not have to doom the day—lock in what you have and let the other rounds carry the score.
Common questions
Do I need an account to play Glimpse?
No. The daily gauntlet requires no signup or account, and progress such as your lifetime recall average and rank is stored in the browser only. Daily rivals are anonymous, showing just count, best recall, and your rank.
What is the daily result?
Each of the five rounds scores between 0 and 100, with partial credit for close answers. The daily result is the average of those five round scores, and the gauntlet is seeded by date, so every player sees the same set of glimpses on the same day.
Can I practice just one kind of round?
Yes. Practice mode lets you play all five skills mixed together or choose a single skill. It uses a 12-level difficulty ladder that rises on green answers and drops on red ones.
