Overview

What Forgle is

Forgle is a daily word game built around one foundry set containing four very different puzzles: Decay, Blend, Nexus, and Tectonic. Your goal is to solve all four to complete the day's set and keep your streak alive. Each kind of puzzle tests a different aspect of wordplay: Decay asks you to progressively shorten a word by dropping a letter and rearranging what remains; Blend asks you to name the two source words hidden inside a portmanteau; Nexus asks you to find the single word that connects every fragment shown; and Tectonic asks you to shift columns in a grid so that five words line up at once. The whole set is released simultaneously at a fixed UTC time, so players around the world start at the same moment. Progress appears as a simple 0/4 counter, and a combined result can be shared once all four are complete.

Getting started

How to play

Each day's foundry set contains exactly one Decay, one Blend, one Nexus, and one Tectonic puzzle. For Decay, drop one letter and rearrange the remaining letters to form a shorter word, repeating this until the shortest word is reached. For Blend, identify the two source words that were combined to create the portmanteau shown. For Nexus, determine the single word that links every fragment presented. For Tectonic, shift the grid's columns so that five words align at once. When all four puzzles are solved, the day is marked complete and your streak continues. Progress is always visible as a 0/4 complete counter, and once finished you can share a combined result.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Return at the same UTC time each day, because all four puzzles in a foundry set are released together and a streak only builds by finishing the entire set daily.
  2. Remember that a day counts as complete only after all four puzzle types are solved; the 0/4 counter makes it easy to see what remains.
  3. Treat Blend and Nexus as vocabulary checks: Blend asks for the two source words in a portmanteau, while Nexus asks for one linking word that connects every fragment.
Quick answers

Common questions

What time does a new Forgle set release?

A new set is released daily at a fixed UTC time, so all players see the same four puzzles at once.

How is progress tracked?

Progress is shown as a 0/4 complete counter. A day is marked complete only after all four puzzles — Decay, Blend, Nexus, and Tectonic — are solved, and completing days in a row builds a streak.

Can I share my results?

Yes. Forgle offers a combined daily result that you can share to show your streak and the day's completion.
