What Flipsies is
Flipsies is a web-based daily game built around a physical challenge: fling an object with a slingshot-style motion and make it tumble at least once before landing upright on the target. Each day brings five objects, and each object gives you five throws, with only your best throw counting. Scoring rewards three things: 100 points per flip, up to 100 points for the middle of the target, and 50 points for a no-bounce landing. A miss is not necessarily fatal——if the object lands upright off-target, it is considered a free miss, and you are allowed two per object. After landing successfully you can move on or skip immediately. The game also has Endless mode for free play with any object, any target, and unlimited throws, plus a Trick shots campaign where each throw is rated up to three stars and earning them unlocks the next set throw. Successful flips can be saved and shared as GIFs, photos, or result cards. There are no ads, and optional analytics count shares without storing player IDs.
How to play
To throw an object, press it and drag in a slingshot motion before releasing. Pulling down sends the throw higher and adds spin; pulling left sends it farther. Watch the trajectory dots and the height/distance readout to tune your aim. Each throw must turn the object over at least once and land upright on the target to count. You get up to five throws per object, and only the best one is used, so you can adjust the spin and arc on later throws. Scoring adds 100 points per flip, up to 100 for the center of the target, and 50 for a clean no-bounce landing. If a throw misses the target but still lands upright, it counts as a free miss; you can do that twice per object. After a successful landing, move on or skip whenever you like. In Daily mode you work through the five objects, Endless mode gives unlimited throws with any object and target, and Trick shots offer three-star goals with the next set throw unlocking when you earn the stars.
Tips
- Use your first throws to learn how much drag is needed for a full flip; a higher arc gives the object more time to complete its tumble before reaching the target.
- The trajectory dots and readout are your best tools for small adjustments; change the drag height slightly and compare the arc with your previous throw.
- If you are chasing the bonus, aim for a clean no-bounce landing at the center; the scoring gives 50 points for no bounce and up to 100 for the middle.
- You have two free misses per object if a throw lands upright off-target, so use them as extra practice without ending your run.
Common questions
How many objects and throws do I get in Daily mode?
Daily mode gives you five objects and five throws per object. Only your best throw for each object counts, so you can use the earlier attempts to try different heights, spins, and release timings before settling on a score.
What happens when I miss the target?
If the object misses the target but still lands upright, that throw is treated as a free miss. You are allowed two free misses per object. If the object does not land upright, the throw simply counts as one of your five attempts.
Is there a mode without a daily limit?
Yes. Endless mode lets you play with any object, any target, and unlimited throws, so you can practice as much as you like. Trick shots also allow as many goes as you want, with three stars available for each set throw and the next one unlocking once you earn the stars.
How is scoring calculated?
You earn 100 points for every flip, up to 100 points for hitting the middle of the target, and 50 points for a no-bounce landing. Your stats also track your total throws, best throw ever, and the daily points you have earned over the last 14 days.
