Overview

What Cramdle is

Each day brings a new packing challenge drawn from public-domain museum artifacts. You are given a set of silhouettes and object images—fruit, tools, musical instruments, and natural history specimens—and asked to arrange them within a packing area in the smallest possible box area. Every attempt is a timed shift lasting 90 seconds, and the measured area of your final arrangement is the result to improve. The game is categorized under Shapes/Patterns and centers on fitting odd shapes together. Your best fit within the shift is recorded, and during the attempt you can reset to that best if a rearrangement goes wrong. When the shift ends, the best recorded fit stays available, and you can enter endless mode to keep optimizing and compare with peers. The displayed area, width, and height in meters help you judge each arrangement before you finish.

Getting started

How to play

The goal is to pack a set of artifacts into the smallest possible box area before your 90-second shift ends. Drag artifacts to move them within the packing area, and pinch or scroll to zoom the workspace. During the attempt you can reset to your best recorded arrangement if a rearrangement goes wrong. When you are satisfied, finish early or submit to end the timed shift. Your best fit for that shift is recorded, and you can then start endless mode to keep optimizing. Open today's puzzle to play the current daily challenge, or choose from the archive to explore previous puzzles. The interface asks mobile players to turn their phone upright, and the area, width, and height of a fit are shown in meters.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Reset to Best is your safety net during a 90-second shift; if an arrangement goes wrong, restore the current best fit instead of starting from scratch.
  2. Watch the measured values in meters—area, width, and height—to compare the quality of different arrangements during the timed attempt.
  3. After the timed shift ends, enter endless mode to continue optimizing and compare your best packed area with peers.
Quick answers

Common questions

How long is each packing attempt?

Each packing attempt lasts 90 seconds. Within that time, the best fit you achieve is recorded. You are free to reset to your current best during the attempt, and you can finish early or submit to end the shift.

What can I do after the 90 seconds are over?

When the timed shift ends, your best fit remains recorded. You can start endless mode to continue optimizing the arrangement, and endless mode lets you compare your best packed area with peers.

What kind of objects will I pack?

The game uses silhouettes and public-domain images of museum artifacts, including fruit, tools, musical instruments, and natural history objects. It is classified under Shapes/Patterns.

Is there a daily puzzle?

Yes. A new puzzle is released daily, and you can open today's puzzle or select from an archive of previous puzzles.
