What Castme is
Castme puts a fresh spin on daily deduction puzzles by replacing letters with actors. Each day you get a movie or TV show to identify, but instead of a blank grid you start with a single cast member. From there, every incorrect guess reveals another actor from the production and adds a clue about the year, genre, or director. You have 6 tries to name the correct title, and each wrong guess also tells you whether your pick shares any actor with the real answer. Beyond the standard Movie and TV Show puzzles, Castme offers two additional daily modes: Connections, where you group 16 actors into 4 sets based on a shared credit, and Six Degrees, where you link two actors through a chain of co-starring films. All four daily puzzles are identical for every player, and the public pages keep answers hidden until you play, so you can share results without spoiling the solution.
How to play
Start by looking at the single actor shown for the daily puzzle. Submit your guess for the movie or TV show you think they appear in. If your guess is wrong, another cast member is revealed, and you also get a clue about the year, genre, or director to narrow things down. Use these clues to refine your next attempt. You have 6 tries in total. For Connections mode, you are given a board of 16 performers and must sort them into 4 groups of 4, where each group shares a common film or TV credit. A limited number of mistakes is allowed. In Six Degrees mode, you are given a starting actor and a target actor. For each step, you name a film featuring the current performer, then select a real co-star from that film to move to the next actor. The game checks your route against known shortest and readable paths, and you can use hints if you get stuck. Hard Mode is a Premium variant of the Movie puzzle that grants fewer guesses for a tougher challenge.

- Use the year, genre, and director clues to eliminate whole eras or styles before guessing again.
- In Connections, look for actors who have appeared together in a notable franchise or a single well-known film, then test your grouping.
