Overview

What CaperTrails is

CaperTrails is a map-based detective puzzle. You are given a city grid, a crime scene, and three suspects. Your task is to figure out which suspect could have reached the crime scene at the correct time by reconstructing their possible routes.

Getting started

How to play

You move one block at a time, and each block costs one minute. Clues about times, positions, and directions help you piece together each suspect's movements. Use the one‑block‑per‑minute rule to calculate travel times and eliminate suspects who couldn't have arrived on schedule.

Practical help

Tips

  1. Remember that every block takes exactly one minute, so you can compute how long a route would take and compare it to the clue times.
  2. Pay attention to the directions and positions given in the clues—they narrow down the possible paths each suspect could have taken.
