What Brainblox is
Brainblox is a free daily word-deduction puzzle for the web. Each day, everyone receives the same challenge: build a square wall from 8 blox, using wall clues to guide your placements, then break the hidden code. The core loop is simple: place blox, read the clues, adjust your reasoning, and guess the code before your stars or lives run out.
How to play
Your objective is to satisfy every wall clue by arranging 8 blox into a square. Once the wall stands, you move on to guessing the hidden code. Two main modes keep the pressure on: a timed mode gives you 3 minutes to build, then a new clue appears every 3 minutes, with your star rating dropping from 5 down to 1 as time passes. An untimed mode gives you 3 lives instead, letting you think at your own pace. Practice mode offers unlimited random puzzles, so you can hone your deduction skills without any stakes.
Tips
- Start with the most restrictive wall clues first—those that mention a specific position or count will narrow your placements faster than vague hints.
- In timed mode, don't wait for the first clue to appear. Use your initial 3 minutes to set up a reasonable wall, then adjust as each new clue arrives.
